January 2007 Circle Meetings

Topic:  "Mouthing Off"

Psalm 13:1-2

Morning Circle:  January 9th at 10 am

Evening Circle:  January 15th at 7 pm

The mission of WELCA is to mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ:

Ì To achieve sustainable intergenerational connections that are meaningful and relevant

Ì To build communities that are cohesive, diverse, dynamic, compassionate, and just, based on common interests, concerns, and commitments

Ì To authentically name, voice, and respond to issues affecting women through awareness, education, action, and advocacy

Ì To assess our present structure, relationships, and programs in terms of the mission: to mobilize women to act boldly on their faith in Jesus Christ

Ì To use demographic information and organizational research as a basis for all mission planning

Growth Needs:

Ì Encourage any and all women in the congregation to participate in on-going activities within the church,

Ì One-on-one invitations to each woman to join us for a Bible study--either in the morning or evening circle,

Ì Assist each woman to express their individual gifts by helping them grow in their abilities and faith,

Ì Provide more opportunities for small setting groups to study different topics,

Ì Create a plan to nurture busy working mothers,

Ì Develop a yearly community outreach project that will benefit our community

Helpful Talents/Gifts Needed:

Women in the congregation and community who desire to learn more about the Lord and extend themselves in service to others, and men who want to be prayer warriors

Why Should You Join This Group?

Ì to be strengthened in your faith and for fellowship with our Sisters in Christ,

Ì to care for others (not only in our congregation but our community and   around the world),

Ì to take time for sharing and growing in the Lord by joining with others for fun   and fellowship while giving back to our congregation and community,

Ì to enable you to value yourself and others as disciples created in God’s image and redeemed through Jesus Christ; and to build up and celebrate relationships that are global, diverse, and interdependent,

Ì to take advantage of a variety of learning and growth experiences that will strengthen you as a disciple, develop your sense of call as a child of God, and equip you for further ministry in God’s world,

Ì and to enable you and all women to articulate and act upon your faith as a disciple of Jesus Christ in all areas of life.
