| Join the Evening Cirlce for a study on Bad Girls of the Bible and What We Can Learn from Them.
We invite you to join us as we visit God’s Word while reading about: Eve, Potiphar’s Wife, Lot’s Wife, The Woman at the Well, Delilah, Sapphira, Rehab, Jezebel, Michal, and The Sinful Woman. We will be using the book Bad Girls of the Bible . . . authored by Liz Curtis Higgs—we have pre-ordered seven copies of the book at $8 per copy; available on a first come, first serve basis. Additional books will be ordered as needed, or individuals can purchase the book through Amazon.
The evening circle meets the second Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. and is open to all women of the Church. But perhaps you are unable to attend on Monday evenings; we are open to discussing other times to meet to study God’s Word—contact Linda Ruehrmund or Deb Noll to share your ideas for thoughts for alternative times for Bible Study. Maybe, you would just like to read the book for your personal spiritual growth, or read it over coffee or tea with family, or friends—we would like to encourage all of our women to read the book, and explore God’s Word through this “contemporary fiction [which] helps [us] identify with these women; [with the] verse by verse commentary break[ing] down their biblical stories into manageable bites” (Higgs).
In addition to the questions at the end of each chapter, there is an accompanying workbook which will be used in the Bible Study. As you contemplate joining us in the reading of Bad Girls of the Bible . . . do so with “an expectant heart and a prayerful spirit because the Word of God is powerful . . . and you are about to be changed . . . for good!” (Higgs). Please consider joining us in reading Bad Girls of the Bible and What We Can Learn from Them.
