"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."
Matthew 28: 19-20
We Believe
St. John Lutheran Church (Windfall), founded upon Jesus Christ the Cornerstone, is a community of believers whose purpose is to NURTURE AND EQUIP the members of this Christian family to REACH OUT with the gospel and SERVE in the example of Christ as we GROW in God’s Word, are ENLIGHTENED by the Holy Spirit, STRENGTHENED in the sacraments, GUIDED by the Creeds and Lutheran Confessions, and SUPPORTED by each other’s prayers.
Being Lutheran
In addition to all the Confessional Statements we share, being Lutheran offers an opportunity to grow and worship in a community where we, as individuals and as a community experience, the healing gifts of:
- God's grace, forgiveness, and hope that are integral to Lutheran theology.
- Fellowship (the healing presence of brothers and sisters in Christ), community prayer, hearing and learning of God's presence, grace, and forgiveness in each sermon.
- Working together to make God's love relevant to each of us in our daily lives.
- Serving the world in the name of Jesus Christ.
